As many as forty-five of our magnificent stained glass windows were salvaged from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, twenty-five of which came directly from Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church right in Philadelphia. The windows were originally designed by Paula Balano, who was the first woman to design a stained glass window in the United States. The salvaged windows were painstakingly restored by the Beyer Studio also of Philadelphia, founded by Joseph Beyer with his wife Rita, using the same methods and materials used by Balano in the 1920s.
