The Diocese of Raleigh acquired these stations in 2013 from Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Philadelphia.  The stations are approximately 80 years old and stand more than five feet high with rounded tops and approximately three feet wide with multi-colored depictions painted on a gold field.  At the time of acquisition, they were in relatively good condition and luckily little restoration. They are unique in their portrayal of the passion and death of Jesus and can be located throughout the north and south loggias.

X. Jesus is Stripped of His Garments

We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you. Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him and the criminals there, one on his right, the other on his left. [Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, they know not what they do.”] Luke 23:33-34

Lord, grant us merciful hearts that we may bring your reconciliation and forgiveness to all. Lord Jesus, help us walk in your steps.
